Remembering Rudolf Nureyev

I was a great fan of this remarkable ballet dancer, and was devastated to learn of his passing.
Born in the Soviet Union he created a furor when he defected to the West in 1961 at the height of the Cold War….. he danced with Londons’s Royal Ballet. He was thought to be the greatest male ballet dancer of all time.
My feelings are represented in this piece in collage dedicated to Nureyev’s memory with the background of the newsprint clipping of his passing
